Aleksa Hacker, MA

Executive Director

Aleksa has over ten years of nonprofit management and consulting experience. Her background includes the leadership of a nationwide nonprofit organization with offices in eight states. She passionately believes in the importance of equipping pantries with the food and resources necessary to provide safe foods to those living with a restricted diet. Aleksa holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts from Lake Forest College.

Dr. Myra Dutko, PhD

Associate Director

Dr. Dutko has worked with a variety of non-profits in capacity building, fundraising and partner connections. As a consultant she has worked to strengthen nonprofit organizations by developing seminars, workshops, and other learning opportunities that serve the nonprofit sector. Dr. Dutko is also a professor of psychology working with non traditional college students including returning and older adult students. Dr. Dutko has an earned PhD in Community Psychology from National Louis University in Chicago.

Tanya Dutko, MBA

Director of Operations and Partnerships

A passionate entrepreneur and business professional, Tanya specializes in streamlining operations to enhance organizational efficiency. No stranger to the nonprofit industry, Tanya is a dedicated philanthropist, having designed a comprehensive fundraising program alongside Ukrainian Women in Business for their annual Faces of Compassion fundraiser gala—an event to raise funds for a heating system for a Ukrainian orphanage housing children with physical disabilities and mental health issues. Tanya holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Political Science from Roosevelt University, as well as an MBA from National-Louis University in Chicago.

Vincent Deng, MA

Treasurer

Vincent Deng is a data-driven marketer who earned a Master’s degree from Quinlan Business School at Loyola University. With years of experience in digital marketing, he has performed marketing analytics in various industries and helped both B2B and B2C companies optimize their business strategy. At his core, Vincent is a problem-solver and he truly believes in entrepreneurship that creates value by solving day-to- day problems for people in need. Vincent founded a non-profit project, One Racquet One Dream, that is committed to improving the sporting environment in low-income schools. Approximately 500 volunteers from 14 universities participated in the past 5 years. And, through P2P fundraising, they have achieved 1,000 donations of badminton equipment.

Tracy Bush "Nutrimom"

Tracy Bush is the founder of Nutrimom®, Inc. – a consulting business that specializes in food allergies and helps to provide guidance and support for anyone that has been diagnosed with food allergies. Her advocacy, recipes, articles and more can be found at AllergyPhoods.com  Tracy has written several product reviews, guest blogs and articles. She has also had the proud privilege to have been sponsored by many wonderful allergy-friendly companies such as Enjoy Life Foods, Barney Butter, Brothers-All-Natural, Winona Pure Oils, SunButter and Glutino. Tracy’s presence has expanded to radio and television segments all across the United States.

Joseph Roeges, MA

Joseph Roeges has dedicated his life to understanding the societal barriers that lead to and catalyze social inequality, racial discrimination and injustice. His master’s thesis focused on the limited facilities for mental health care in Chicago for those who were uninsured, underinsured and/or lived below the poverty line. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and mathematics, with a concentration in statistics, at Roosevelt University and earned his Master of Arts degree in the social sciences within the highly competitive MAPSS cohort at the University of Chicago. Committed to data analytics and higher education, Joseph left the manufacturing sector to begin work, in 2017, as a Research Analyst in Institutional Research at Roosevelt University. He is sensitive to the dietary restrictions and food allergies of others, himself being a vegetarian for almost 16 years. He believes in the mission of Mend Hunger and the accelerating importance of access to allergy safe foods, given that he has numerous close friends with either a food intolerance or a potentially life-threatening food allergy. With years of statistical experience with programs such as Stata, Analytics, SAS, Excel and SPSS and awareness of the dietary challenges of others, Joseph aspires to help Mend Hunger flourish.
